ARINC and Convergent to Partner in KC-130J Emergency Procedures Update:
ARINC, an industry leader in aircraft integration services and Convergent Knowledge Solutions, LLC, a pioneer in procedures development and error management in high risk industries, have been awarded an 18-month contract to provide the Unites States Marine Corps with an overhaul of the emergency procedures section of the KC-130J's flight manual (NATOPS). The contract is the second of its kind for Convergent, currently completing similar work for the U. S. Coast Guard, and a first for ARINC, and will upgrade the OEM procedures to be compatible with industry-standard, two-pilot, glass-cockpit flight procedures and recently updated normal operating procedures. The contract will also cover the reformat of tactical and operational procedures to bring the entire KC-130J NATOPS manual up to the highest level of two-pilot, highly automated aircraft procedures, similar to the work already performed for the Coast Guard's version of the Lockheed-Martin C-130J.
